Tumski Bridge

Tumski Bridge is also known as the bridge of love. It was built in 1889 and it connects Ostrów Tumski and Sand Island. Before the bridges in that place was a boundary between the municipal jurisdiction and church jurisdiction. The bridge was destroyed and rebuilt several times. The last renovation of it was in 1992. Nearby there are antique street lights that can be only lightened up manually. The urban myth says that every couple that would lock a lock on that bridge with their names on it will seal their love but they have to throw the key to the river.
