Ossolineum

The Ossolińscy Institute or as people of Wrocław calls it Ossolineum is located right next to Academical Church. This meritorious for polish science and culture Institute was funded for polish people in 1817 by Józeł Maksymilian Ossoliński and was opened in 1827 in Lwów. It was a crucial center of polish culture, it had the second biggest library collection in Poland after the Jagiellonian Library in Cracow. Right now the library is in the building were used to be a Jesuit gymnasium and a house of Crusaders Order of the Red Cross.
